Hi Papa, portrait format pics posted are OK when opened but when in the home screens they are squashed down and distorted. I understand why but is there a way to keep the aspect ratio, not a major issue "but".
Just a thought. GC.

We can now take this problem off the board!

The issue was that the filmstrip widgets that show image posts from the forum had some poor coding by the original developer which distorted the thumbnail image when downsizing to make the thumbnail.

I have repaired that code and made the widgets compatible with future versions of PHP, which is the core software that conjures up web pages.

Enjoy!
I know, Gerald. It looks like crap and has been a source of frustration since it was added.

Several attempts across the past few months have failed. Get the landscape mode right, and the portrait mode is squashed. Or vice versa. Sadly, the addon widget that shows forum images is from a different developer from the other ones that display gallery and album images--and is the only third-party widget available that displays forum images. So no going to something else that does not flake out the thumbnail display.

I have thrown my hands up and posted the issue to the developers, Ozzy and Painbaker, in the appropriate support forum for this addon.

Hope to have a solution soon, or I am going to take that particular one down. I don't want to do that, as this is the only way we can see forum/posting group images without rummaging about in the boards themselves.

Is it early enough to start drinking yet? o_O
