NYC Microcosms

If one ever lacks inspiration or subject matter, a visit to one of the world's great cities is in order! I am just back in from a week in NYC, and this image has been chosen as the opening salvo of creative images from that trip.

Every part of the city has a different feel and vibe. Don't feel the one you are in? Go three blocks in any direction and the peoples and culture is likely to change. One can travel the world--experience its people, culture, food, language--or you can travel about NYC--because the world has come there... :unsure:

The snowglobes shown are a common sight everywhere in the city. This particular image came from along Mulberry Street, after a fine Spaghetti Puttanesca meal at Casa D' Angelo. I feel that conceptually each globe represents a part and neighborhood of the city.

Another image from the tourist vendor scene, this time in Bryant Park. It had been raining heavily all morning and I was thoroughly soaked and cold. The memory of that translated into the cold, grey tones I used to render this NYC street scene...
