To increase the exposure and conversation around our images, a decision has been made to close out and archive the present category galleries--ranging from Abstracted to Urban.
The visibility of current category images isn't affected by this change, and members retain full control to delete, move, edit--or comment and rate. It's just that new images cannot be added going forward.
A later conversation will examine how existing images can be better integrated into the FotoFora experience.
Soon, members posting images in the Forum groups will be required to choose a tag to describe the category of the image. These choices will mimic the previous categories of the gallery system and can be sorted into distinct image collections by filtering these tags.
