personal creative concept narrative.
1 year ago i was diagnosed with HPV cancer. Before starting treatment my partner and I took a trip to Italia for a month. While in Venezia we stayed in La Casa del Tintoretto on Fondamenta dei Mori. Just outside the door was this painting that was exposed to the elements. artist unknown. It captured my attention every time we walked past it.
Every year for 4-1/2 decades i have taken x3 self portrait images to document not only my physical changes but to also reflect, express my experiences. This image is 1 of 3 for 2023. I see myself at 30 and at 70.
Oddly it gives me comfort now.
