Twilight of the viewing filter

As I mentioned elsewhere on this forum, I have long had a Kodak Wratten # 90 mounted in a Gepe glass slide mount for a B&W viewing filter. It works well but yo can't hold it up to your eye for long as I find that my eye adjusts pretty quickly to the filter and it no longer is of much help in determining what a B&W image will look like.
