This is normally posted as untitled street work without any suggestion of my deeply personal reason for setting it up as is. I like leaving it to the viewer's interpretation.
For me it is a representation of unrequited love. I had an experience that wanted to explore with photography. I had been rejected by someone that I had been interested in for a very long time.
I saw the bust and the painting in a second hand shop window late one night. I returned to the shop when it was opened and positioned the objects for a previsualized photo that i would take at night.
BTW we are now married.
