This is a 'raw' unprocessed (except for converting from .nef to .jpg. I have not experimented with it yet--would like to see how others might approach this shot.

I think this lends itself to B/W. I was tempted to insert a skeleton or suchlike
I think some form of b/w works best.

To me it does look better in black and white, and I like Bill's idea of adding some sepia toning. I also straightened the main tree in the background a bit - looks like its branches are arms protecting over the sacred grounds below. Also cropped the bottom off a bit to feel the width more.
